By day she hides behind a mask
A veil of domesticity
And modifies her every task
To conceal her duplicity
By night, this image she'll reject
Prowls out to fuel her hunter's thirst
Docility's a dog's defect
Obedient? Never! Tame? Death first!
The 3WW words are modify, obedient and veil

Ah, yes, the feline. I've been toying with getting another DSH, but have really been digging having plants in my loft. And with two dogs, it would be crowded. But this took me to that place why people live with cats. For the unexpected.
ReplyDeleteWow! that was a wonderful description of the beautiful cat!:)

EEEE! I love this -- you capture Cattitude so well in your poem, and how familiar I am with that phenomenon: I am owned by four cats, one of whom looks a great deal like your beautiful black kitty girl. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the emphasis on dog - kitty seems to be saying "inconceivable!"
ReplyDeleteLaughing. Someone's hunter night-moans and rips up the flowerbed under my window. Not yours, I'm sure. :)
